Cross Country Champions

Written by Alice Bennett and Reuben McConville.

When we arrived at the event, it was incredibly windy. The track was very boggy and obviously very long! There was a massive hill at the very end of the course that made us all exhausted.

The years 3 and 4 boys were first, it was an intense start with one of our team mates slipping over. In the end, Joshua Allen came 3rd, Phurrell came 4th and Kekelli, who caught up came 7th.

There was good competition and it was great fun.

The year 3 and 4 girls was a good race with Amelie in 2nd, Lottie in 3rd and Emily coming 4th.

Between the year 5 and 6's race there was a lot of secondary school races and that made the track even more muddy. It was extremely nerve-wracking stepping up to the line, although we knew the others were all feeling the same.

It was a fantastic race for the girls. Alice coming in 1st, Shanice coming 2nd, and Kae coming in 3rd close behind.

Up next, it was the boy’s race, we were all so scared of what the positions would be as this was the decider.

Mason came flying, flying up the hill in 1st with Reuben H just behind in 2nd and Reuben M came in 8th place. We didn't think we'd get the victory it was so surprising when we won, we couldn't believe it! The 2nd place school was 5 points off us so it was very close.
